The Social Experiment

THE BACKGROUND
Rewind to a few summers ago when my friends and I fell in love with feather earrings.

They are wild, eccentric and capable of spicing up any outfit.

Now, fast forward to a few weeks ago. My friends and I were attending the Evolve Music Festival in Nova Scotia. Frustrated and unable to find new feather earrings for the occasion, I was determined to make my own earrings. I gifted them to my three friends I was attending the festival with. I received positive feedback from my girls who enjoyed rocking their feathers all weekend long.

THE PROJECT
I am about to set out on an adventure in a few weeks. I am travelling to England, Italy and Spain. I've decided to conduct a social experiment of sorts, whereby I will practice good karma and spread some of my gypsy love by gifting my handmade, one-of-a-kind earrings to those I meet during my travels.

In exchange for the earrings I will be asking for pictures of those I meet wearing my earrings to post on this blog, which I have started to document feedback, my encounters and travels.

THE NAME
While the Oxford Dictionary may have a different (and more correct) definition of gypsy (see previous post) gypsy to me defines freedom, free spirit, and a love for travel. Karma to me encompasses random acts of kindness. So I am setting forth on my travels in a few weeks, I plan to gift something I love to strangers along the way. Hence the perfect name that defines what I plan to do...

Interested? There is so much more to come. Stay tuned.

Until Next Time.

Much Love.
